  • Ivan Tomato Plant Start

    $4.00

    Ivan Tomato Plant Start

    $4.00

This is the famous Ivan tomato Plant you have heard about. It grows over 8 feet tall and puts out a huge yield of large old fashion acidic-tasting tomatoes. The Ivan is a rescue project. It is local to Mid Missouri coming from one family through the generations.   It loves Missouri’s crazy weather and is well adapted to deal with its disease.   If you have had a poor yield in the past give this one a try. You will not be disappointed.  This is the largest yield of tomato we have ever grown. The taste is old fashion and acidic.  Great for canning, slicing, or just biting into before you even make it to the house.

The leaves have a weird curly pattern so don’t be surprised if they curl on you, they are only being Ivan’s.  This is one of the most frequent questions we get about them so don’t worry this is just how their big leaves look.

  • Jewish Tomato Plant Start

    Jewish Tomato Plant Start

    $4.00

The Jewish tomato was a surprise special for us this summer.  The Jewish is a rather large ox heart tomato that grows on vigorous vines.  It is an indeterminate heirloom that produces 10 -14 oz fruit that is multi-color red with yellow markings.  It is an 80-day tomato that grows best directly into the ground. The flavor is good and they are great for canning as they are dense with meat but produce little seeds.  These are great for sauces as they have dense meat.  However, they are a little sweet so will need to add a little acid when canning to maintain PH level.  Great for salads as the colors show really well when sliced.
