    This is a new pepper that crossed for us a couple of years ago. It looks like jalapeno and goes through the five-color changes of a Chinese 5 Color pepper. The peppers themselves are the size of jalapeno with the meat being almost as thick.  The heat is a little hotter than a jalapeno but not too much hotter.  This is a great colorful plant that can grow in a bed or containers.  These seeds are rare and only have 12 per package

    The 7 Pot Pepper is one of the hottest peppers in the world with a Scoville of 1,000,000 to 21,200,000.   Like many super hot peppers, it is slow to germinate and needs a warming mat to get decent rates.  It takes a long time to put on fruit so growing in a pot allows you to bring these in for a second crop later in the fall.  Be careful handling fruit and seeds, use gloves. These take a long time to germinate. Be patient.

    Fish peppers are really pretty with variegated coloring.  It starts green with white areas, then the white goes yellow and then orange, and eventually, the entire pepper turns red. The Fish Pepper has a Scoville of between 5,000 and 50,000 units being a medium-hot pepper.  The pepper originated in Baltimore and was used to make a white pepper sauce that was served with fish or seafood. Its roots reach back into the 19 century.  The pepper can be grown in containers or in the ground. It is not huge in stature but puts out a lot of 2-inch peppers.

    These seeds are a result of a cross that happened in our gardens. It is a Serrano that is about twice the size of a regular Serrano. The fruit gets about 5 inches long.  It has the same flavor, heat, and thick meat as a regular Serrano. This plant gets a good bit bigger than the usual small Serrano bush and puts out a good crop of these Giant Serrano peppers.  The Serrano pepper has a Scoville rating of between 10,000 to 13,000 so is a medium-hot pepper.  These are great in a pot or in the ground.

This pepper is the second most popular in Mexico.  This pepper is used in Mexican Mole Sauce and Harissa Chili Paste.   This is a 75-day heirloom pepper.  The pods are between 3 and 5 inches long.
