English Thyme plants are widely cultivated for its strong flavor, which is due to its content of thymol. Thyme is best cultivated in a hot, sunny location with well-drained soil. It is generally planted in the spring, and thereafter grows as a perennial in zones 5 through 9.
It makes a fragrant boarder and likes full sun to part shade. It grows about 12 inches tall and can be grown in a container or in the ground. It will spread but not quickly. It can be easily controlled. Pollinators enjoy it’s blooms.
The seeds are from Morgan County Seeds.
