    Balkonzauber Seed

    $3.00

The Balkonzauber is a German tomato that was sent to us by a customer that said it was one of her favorites.  We grew it last year for the first time and it was wonderful.  It is translated as Balcony Magic.  The plant group is a nice compact plant with a lot of 2-3 oz tomatoes that all matured at once. This is a determinate tomato.  It then died and cleared the space in the garden to grow something else.  It was a very early plant producing in around 70 days. It was one of the earliest ones in the garden.

This plant is very rare and is not often found in North America.

Balkonzauber Tomato is normally fairly low maintenance and quite easy to grow, as long as a level of basic care is provided throughout the year. Being aware of the basic soil, sun, and water preferences will result in a happier and healthier plant.

This 75 Day pear-shaped colorful heirloom is a hit.  It produces really well and has deep flavored deep-colored plum tomatoes that produce on an indeterminate plant. The vines are long and bushy.  You can’t beat this one for canning.  It is a heavy-yield plant that is surprisingly crack resistant.  The plant has potato leaves and produces lots of 4 to 6 oz fruit.  This is a must-have for anyone that likes to make sauces or can tomatoes. The plant gets very lanky so be prepared with supports. This plant was recommended to us by so many customers we had to give it a try. We were impressed with it and will keep it as a staple in our garden.

They produce a large crop of rather small and acidic tomatoes.  They are cute, with colors ranging from green to dark purple on one tiny cherry. Great for salads and to wake up any fresh dish.  They did well with diseases and did not split.

The Blue Lake Pole Bean is an heirloom seed.

Blue Lake Pole Bean Germination: Plant after the last frost, since pole beans are very sensitive to cold. Place the seeds 2″ deep and 10″ apart, allowing them to grow on a trellis or other vertical support as soon as they emerge from the soil. If using a teepee structure, plant them in groups of 5-6 plants per pole. Germination usually takes place in 14-20 days.

Growing Blue Lake Pole Bean Seeds: Keep the soil moist to promote healthy plants and a productive yield, taking care not to disturb the blossoms as they are forming. Mulch helps conserve moisture, control weeds, and regulate soil temperature.
